On the train from Lancaster

After a very fast but hugely crowded train journey from Waterloo to Lancaster, we are now on a 2 carriage much slower train . St Bees is the 24th stop ! But the little stations are charming with greystone walls and hollyhocks and at Carnforth,  Andrew saw some  exceedingly old railway carriages. The Irish sea glints in the distance and there are salt marshes, sheep and wooded hills. Great views from the train windows. This entry has little to do with The Coast to Coast walk but I am practising how to use the Nexus so that when really weary and worn ,sitting on some B and B floor , I shall know what to do when I have no patience with all things new! Jen is asleep over her book, Pat is reading and Andrew is on his ipad. No WiFi so I hope to put this on the blog once in St Bees where we are due to be met by the BandB hosts driving a green Skoda.
